PanOptic Plus ophthalmoscope head with iExaminer

The Welch Allyn PanOptic Plus ophthalmoscope head is a direct wide-angle ophthalmoscope featuring a long-lasting SureColor LED light source. On the patient side, the PanOptic Plus ophthalmoscope is equipped with two colored LEDs that guide the patient’s gaze and enable improved alignment with the optic disc.

With the iExaminer system, it becomes a digital ophthalmoscope. The SmartBracket attaches to the camera of a compatible smartphone and is secured to the instrument head. The free iExaminer Pro app is available for iOS and Android and supports, among other functions, the selection of the best images from a 30-second examination recording.

Use of the iExaminer Pro system

The iExaminer Pro system can be combined with the latest Welch Allyn devices MacroView Plus and PanOptic Plus. Using the free iExaminer Pro app on a personal smartphone makes transitioning from optical examination to digital image capture particularly easy. The SmartBracket is attached to the camera of a compatible smartphone and mounted on the instrument head.
