TDP heat lamp / moxa lamp, floor model, DMC,
Acupuncture lamps , also known as TDP or moxa lamps , serve as heat lamps in Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM ). A ceramic plate coated with over 30 minerals generates an infrared spectrum of electromagnetic waves at approximately 280 degrees Celsius. This spectrum, ranging from 2 to 25 micrometers, produces a pleasant warmth that is particularly well absorbed by the human body. The TDP lamp can be used for direct irradiation without needles or after acupuncture treatment .
